How it’s Performed

Through a small catheter placed in the wrist or groin, the doctor uses X-ray guidance to reach tiny blood vessels around the knee that are linked to inflammation and pain from arthritis. Small particles are injected to reduce abnormal blood flow and calm inflammation.
