How it’s Performed

A catheter is guided through a small vein in the groin or neck to the enlarged veins causing the varicocele. Using X-ray imaging, the abnormal veins are sealed off with tiny coils, medical adhesive, or so blood is redirected into healthy veins.

  • Testicular heaviness
  • Low sperm count or infertility related to varicocele
